Traumadol - for broken bones and cancer, non opiate hangover cure.
Works like a treat, take no more than two as you can possibly die.

Voltarin. It's a muscle relaxant, your brain is a muscle(though mine cant lift much) and after multiple tests i conclude these little pills to be worth their weight in gold. Take about 10 mins to kick in. Quick and easy, unlike knocking up a concoction when your struggling just to relocate the kitchen. Nice site Dan, I share your passion.

Yes we did a feature about hangover cures for The Queen's Club magazine and the greasy full English Breakfast came out tops in our survey, but there were some fascinating alternatives like a Banana, Cumin Seed, Coke, Ibuprofen and Milk all whisked into a smoothie. But this was a very modern take and many of the older members swore on the next three runners-up, which were a Bullshot, a Bloody Mary, or Jeeves's famous Prairie Oyster.

Oh man that British medical journal got paid for tell is not to drink. Surely, the whole point in hangover remedies is because you wanna drink? Muppets.

My top one is coke & nurofen. But these days I remember somehow to take a vitamin pill before sleeping. Usually works wonders...got it here after searching on the web: http://www.prevent-hangovers.com/hangover-preventing.html

But sometimes I forget and have some hangover food, like eggs & bacon, tomato juice and stuff.

Amazing new one: pickled onions.

3 of us had these at Xmas time and they cleared out our heads something unreal. Try it guys.

Actually, that sounds like a damn fine hangover cure to me! Since writing this feature I've tried milk a few times (both before going to sleep and when I wake up) and it does seem to help.

As for your absinthe consumption - I can only hope you didn't drink it straight!

I happened to play drinking games in Berlin with (I'll follow your lead and use nicknames), the Boyfriend, the Deutscher Panzer, and the Guy Who Got Tasered For Fun.
We drank far too much- absinthe (77.7%), vodka, some other clear alcohol, and apfel korn (apple schnapps- if you can get your hands on some, it should look and taste like apple juice with an alcoholic kick. It's fantastic.)
After I lost my dinner to the porcelain god, the Boyfriend ordered me to bed and sent the others home.

I woke up the next morning feeling SPECTACULARLY horrible. I curled up and complained, while the boyfriend laughed at me and congratulated me on my first hangover.

It wasn't all bad news though- he offered me some milk, and, though wary at first, I ended up gulping down an entire glass. I wondered how he'd got me into my pyjamas while I ate leftover pizza (it was cheese pizza), and felt the milk calm my stomach.
I'll be fair, I then slept for several hours.

So I suppose my hangover cure (as given to me by a Berlin DJ), was milk, light pizza (it was not very greasy, nor too dry.), and SLEEP.
