What a lousy uninspired little joint this is. Full of very goofy dreadlocked electrical engineering students, and their gumpy random "chick" action. I'm a bit sad. I drank here with a bf 30 years ago. I was just a kid, but my beau took us all around the real subversive action in Sydney. He was a genius, but suffered from awful depression, and ended up killing himself in his little place in Glebe:(Tragic. He had a wonderful mind).

Tonight, I was treated like rubbish in the Drummer. Yea, it's good Friday, but isn't this a good time to reflect on compassion. I wander around town in the old shorts. Not trying to make a statement, just can't be arsed. The guy on security at the front could not seem to understand that the notes $ I was flashing for a couple of lousy stubbies to take away was twice his hourly pay rate. Yeah, I was in the boardies, but yanno, some of us choose Quicksilver to be burying ourselves in. On a Good Friday night, trust me, the Coppers have more to do than worry about some old bag and her 6 pack. Get it, Got it, Good. That's your liquor licensing law lesson for the month peeps.

Ya love a drink, and a bit of eccentricity? Forget the creepy Different Drummer. Old Mate down at the Falcon on the corner of Glebe Pt Rd and Mitchell st, will treat you decently. Number one barman Gareth, is a treat, and there's a red headed feller running around too, sorta like Manuel, but he's a darling . Kooky as all get up there, but the place has a wonderful atmosphere, and old mate knows how to dish up old school action from the get go. Oh yea, the snacks are good, and this boutique beer they sell called 4 Pines is lovely too. Adorable joint. A mix of classiness and local support seems to be able to coincide together here. Long may it live.
