I know, I know – like John Farnham, Motley Crue and KISS, Bar Zine has had many farewell tours.
This time, though, it’s finally happening: I’m pulling the plug. Within a month, the great Bar Zine empire, home to more hangovers and cat jokes than any other site, will be gone. The site won’t load. Stories will disappear like a bad dream. Melodramatic sentences will be no more.
After all, hosting this site costs me $70 a year. I can buy a bottle of bourbon, a beer and a bucket for that price.
For those who just can’t bear the thought of not hearing from me, however, there are some options for you:
Buy my novel, Drowning in the Shallows
This comic satire will make you laugh, cry, and want to get horribly drunk all at the same time. And if you’re not convinced by that, read the first three chapters for free.
You can support your local bookstore by buying it from there (and if they don’t have it, they can easily order it in).
You can buy it from Amazon as either a paperback or an ebook.
Hell, I don’t care where you buy it, as long as you do.
Subscribe to my new blog
That’s right, baby – I’m back. This time, though, I’m writing mini book reviews and don’t mention cats at all. No, seriously.
At the moment I have zero subscribers, so even if you just join up out of pity that’ll make my day.
The blog is: https://dankaufmanbooks.com/blog/
Did I mention I wrote a novel?
And that’s it. This is the last email you will receive from Bar Zine. Stop being so damn happy about it.
